Goumas Estate Zakynthos
About Vostilidi Variety
The Vostilidi variety is native to Zakynthos and Kefalonia. Its grapes have a thick and tart skin, and their acidity varies between medium and high, depending on the vineyard’s altitude (ours are higher than 500 m). Vostilidi wine has a full body and golden-green highlights. It can age for over five years, gradually revealing honey undertones. However, it’s also quite pleasant and interesting while fresh. Studies by the Department of Food Science and Technology at Ionian University have shown Vostilidi to contain three times the antioxidants found in most white varieties.
